Background

PLS Financial is a money and loan service with over 300 locations in 12 states. PLS, going on its twelfth year in the industry is known for its 24/7 convenience and commitment to its customers. To continue to provide leading service and convenience PLS needed to redefine its presence in the competitive landscape of mobile banking.

Vision

  • Create a mobile banking application that reflects the company's values, relationship with customers, and unique services
  • Allow users to view their card balances, view transactions, find a store location, manage their cards, save offers and view PLS services
  • Create a management tool to easily update and manage all application content

Critical user journeys

Our team started by focusing on the critical user journeys to identify what features were necessary and how to structure the application. After several variations, we landed on the map below. We broke up the components into four sections, which we believed would create an intuitive user flow.

Design process

After identifying the critical user journeys, we started sketching different screens within the application. Users needed to be able to easily check their bank status while still highlighting the companies many offers.
